I left behind my most familiar and comfortable chair at my desk, eight thousand miles away, next to a window - through which it sees the sunrise over Hanoi as I see the Rochester sunset overhead.
Uprooting means finding/carving out/settling into my new seat at the table.
As I take on new identities, so do spaces I find myself fit - at, on, in, next to. "seats" are shot either at sunset or sunrise, aiming to capture a new, still tender and crisp, sense of belonging and comfort.
